Carissa started working at the bakery in 2011, and enjoyed the fast-paced environment, her coworkers, and the customer interaction, Charles quickly grew to appreciate her abilities, personality and work ethic. I was working in residential construction, when Charles approached Carissa about taking over the bakery. Charles stayed on 5 months after our purchase in August 2014, to help with the transition.
While Carissa already knew a lot about the bakery, she hadn't been trained in the tasks of the night shift--mixing batter and doughs, frying donuts, and baking the breads, buns and cookies. We both learned these tasks together, and now both fulfill the position of baker. We love working the same hours, even if our day does start at 11:30 pm!
Carissa and I have continued the tradition of scratch baking. One of the things we really enjoy is developing new baked goods to share with you. We strive to produce the highest quality products possible by purchasing the best ingredients available, using time tested techniques, and providing an unforgettably tasty experience every time you visit.
